Center for Acupuncture Gives Back

The Center for Acupuncture is pleased to announce its new charitable donation policy. Each month, beginning in April, the Center for Acupuncture and Herbal Medicine in Westfield, New Jersey will choose a different charity and donate $1 from each treatment in its busiest week of the month to said charity. The Center for Acupuncture will post in its offices and website/blog information about each charity that it chooses. Final decisions about the charities chosen will be made by myself and my wife, Ann, but we strongly encourage patients and anyone so inclined to let their recommendations be known. We plan on choosing from local, national and international charities.

January and February Charity of the Month:

The Center for Acupuncture has chosen St. Peter's Food Bank in Belleville, NJ as it is in dire need of food contributions for it's Pantry. More information is below under May Charity of the Month.

December's Charity of the Month:

December's charity will be the International Campaign for Tibet. They are matching dollar for dollar contributions. Check their website as well as a list of some of their projects and its mission.

November's Charity of the Month:

November's charity will be Make a Wish Foundation. You can learn more about them here

August Charity of the Month:

June Charity of the Month:

June's charity will be Free Arts NYC. Free Arts NYC provides under-served children and families with a unique combination of educational arts and mentoring programs that help them to foster the self-confidence and resiliency needed to realize their fullest potential. May Charity of the Month:

The Center for Acupuncture has chosen St. Peter's Food Bank in Belleville, NJ as its May charity. Distributions are made twice monthly and typically they serve 40-50 families. They create food bags containing cereals, pasta, tomato sauce, peanut butter, jelly, canned fruit and soups, vegetables, dry milk, tea bags, etc. so that families who cannot afford food will have enough to eat. They also supply baby formulas, baby food and diapers when available. Last year they were so low on donations that they had to close up for many weeks. Hopefully, our donations will help prevent that from occurring this year. The Church of Saint Peter is located at 155 William Street, Belleville, NJ 07109. Phone (973) 751-2002.

April Charity of the Month:

The Center for Acupuncture has chosen its first charity. In light of current events, we have decided to donate to the International Campaign for Tibet. Information on this organization can be found on its website as well as a list of some of their projects and its mission.
