We are quickly approaching the Jan.1 deadline for NJ’s mandated flu shot
We just don’t know how many kids will be excluded from daycare & pre-school if they don’t have their flu shot as of January 1, 2009. We have never needed Vaccination Choice in NJ more… act now
And let your voice be heard! Apparently 10,000+ signatures on our petition are not getting the attention of NJ lawmakers.
Make just 5 phone calls (and email to everyone you know, to do the same) if you value VACCINATION CHOICE

- If they are NOT on board- ask them urgently to co-sponsor NJ legislative bill A260/S1071, the Conscientious Exemption to Mandatory Immunization.

As the Jan. 1 mandatory flu shot deadline is upon us, it is URGENT that they support and pass
Assembly Bill A260 (on the Senate side it's known as S1071) as soon as possible. If time permits, share your own reasons why you want vaccination choice.

NJ Vaccines
Please support this legislation to create a 'conscientious belief' exemption to mandatory vaccines in the state of NJ. Most states currently have this in addition to the medical and religious exemptions. This would allow a parent to refuse vaccinating their child(ren) for moral and ethical beliefs. Recent Vaccine Study
For some reason, the debate regarding vaccines still goes on. I'll let you guess my opinions on this subject :-) As this subject is immense, as I have mentioned in the past, I choose not to post much on it due to time constraints to do it justice. However, my friend and colleague, Dr. Stickley links to a recent study on vaccines and the strong correlation with neurological diseases, ADHD and autism. You can check it out here.

HPV/Cervical Cancer Vaccine
The issue of vaccines is a heated one, and this blog entry is not meant to be a discussion or analysis of the efficacy or morality of vaccines in general. (A blog will come on this subject soon.) But I recently came across a few articles and links regarding the HPV vaccine and thought I’d post on it.
Unfortunately, as vaccines are becoming a greater and greater part of the medical scene, vaccines like this one will keep popping up unless enough people get educated about the politics, financial gains and the false claims being perpetuated currently. This is a billion dollar industry and with that in mind, we must seek the facts for ourselves as the ones currently providing the information have significant interests and biases.
Just as we are to be convinced that providing a blood-borne disease vaccination to newborns on day one of their lives is valid (Hepatitis B vaccine), so too are we being told that vaccinating young girls prior to sexual maturity with the HPV vaccine is not only prudent but necessary AND SOON TO BE MANDATORY.
